Problems with either BT or Thunderbird

Hi

I was wondering if anyone else has been having problems with Thunderbird email system??

For the past week or so it has been really temperamental & no always letting me send emails

I get an error message see below, or could it be my service provider BT??

Sorry I didn't say that sometimes it takes up to 10 times sending an email before it actually goes
