View Full Version : macs and flame wars and man tits

boy there are a lot of flame wars going on this week, but nothing related to macs

one is a high school student pitted against another high school student talking about a field neither one is in

another is over guns and the pros and cons of that issue

and the other is about made in america or not made in america

the most palatable info i heard this week is someone who mentioned that they had man tits:confused:

so they'd be in the market for a manssiere or a bro?

This is what happens when Apple doesn't give us something to talk about. Good thing for the general discussion forum.

Went to the Redskins trading day at FedEx field this past Saturday. Free admission, $1 beer, $1 hotdogs, Cheerleaders:D. Not too bad. The Skins kept trading their 1st round draft pick till they ended up with the last one, 32nd. Didn't wait around for that, though, takes all damn day.

But my one big question is: 'How come the stadium hotdogs (doesn't really matter what sport) taste so good and so different from anything you can make at home?'

Truly a question of the age....

Woo-hoo! I propose a new thread: Macs and Vegetarianism :D

And I missed the man-tits somewhere... but I don't know that that's necessarily a bad thing...

Nice one. Sorry if I'm excluding the less "jock-inclined" geeks out there...now that I think of it, here's my sporting history:

Basketball - 5th grade through High School
Volleyball - Sophomore year High School through 2nd year College
Crew - 3rd year College through 4th year College

Currently learning how to play raquetball...

We made ours in a crock pot for like some kind of girls sports even (yum, high school girls changing in halls.) I'm 15 so i'm not some kind of 90 year old perv. Anyway they tasted a little like the stadium dogs, trick seems to be get cheap hotdogs and boil.

Redskins are going have a bad year again :(

You know Dan has bigger man-tits than me :D

The skins suck, actually. You can't bait me with that.

I do believe that if you boil enough hotdogs together and keep using the same water, day after day, then you have stadium dogs. They taste so good because they truly are bad, like all junk food. But when in Rome, you need to sample what the locals eat. For me that's only about once a year thankfully.

frcking redskins, most ridiculous team of all the NFL. the capital city of the free world, and the football team is a racial slur.

Dallas Mavericks
Dallas Stars
Texas Rangers
Football sucks, but the Cowboys since I was born.

why do the redskins get rid of their good players, or when they get rid of their bad players they then go elsewhere and get good... e.g. desmond howard- got the super bowl mvp with green bay, though that's about it. and plenty of others.

when expectations are high, they just suck more and more.... oh well. just football.

I would rather go to the dentist then watch almost any sport. Watching golf is about as exciting as watching grass grow. Basketball was once ok, but no longer. Hockey is ok, if you can get around the fights. Football is just plain dumb and tenis is worse then golf. I would rather slam my hand, or d*ck in the car door then go to a sports stadium...

What can I say, sports have almost no appeal to me. Unless you are talking about the sex olympics :D...

I missed that one...'Paris went on a little rampage there...I was wondering why his post count jumped up so much. ;)

I think that waders might be better than hip-boots...more coverage, they go up to your chest...maybe even a floater, that'd last you longer...

hehehehe

I'll second that. At least the dentist is over in less time and you know that your teeth are being taken care of. Even getting a cavity filled is shorter/less painful :D

You forgot one sport that's fun to watch though...MUD WRESTLING!

Sometimes you can look at rumours boards, and you just know there aren't any decent rumours around!

Hmm... sports? I gave up after busting my ankle playing volleyball a couple of years ago. Despite that, i'm pretty sure i haven't got man-tits :D The only sport i would watch is england playing soccer.

I don't watch sports that often. I did watch the Olympics though. Its so much more interesting when its individual competition at the world level. And then you hear about all the difficulties some of the atheletes had gone through to get there, you just have to be proud of them, even if they're not from your home country. To me, if you can avoid the political issues - lets not go there, the Olympics are what sports should be.

I do play Ultimate Frisbee 2-3 times a week. Best team sport I've ever played, run around like a nut, jump, throw, get any frustrations out and have a great workout. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes to sprint. You can find pickup games almost anywhere, world wide.

http://www.upa.org/resources/pickup/pickup.shtml

By the way, this should be a Olympic Sport and I hope to see it there some day

:D

I only pay attention when the Canucks come to San Jose to beat the crap out of the Sharks. I'll go to one of THOSE games in a flat second.:D

As to my sporting prowess.......

I've done 110 and 220 hurdles in HS and Fenced (Foil) in College.

I guess I am the exception to the rule. I am a huge sports fan. Believe it or not, I am a Bills and Sabres fan (from Buffalo). I ended up watching 15 or more hours of the NFL Draft over the weekend and watch just about any sport that can come on TV (except women's basketball, yuck!). And for all you Canadians, CURLING RULES!

I also was on high school track and field team for shot put and discus. I also love to play basketball and football just for fun. :D

Well..... I like my mountain biking, even though I don't currently own one *sobs* Audi have a real trick mountain bike out but it's a corking £3k!! that'd I love to get me' mitts on!!

I also love rowing machines.... for some reason I can just row, row row...... damn good fun too!! never tried it in a proper boat though!!!

As for watching sports, well I love F1 and watch this religiously, in particular Shumi M and Ferrari, he is just such an amazing driver, when he's on it, the car just flows....... fluid and dynamic........ total commitment!!

I also like WRC, as there's always some mad s*it going down when Colin McRae is charging......

That's really all the sports I watch....... well if Channel 4 ever show the Icelandic buggy racing thing, where they have like 800BHP AWD buggies, and drive up the side of vertical volcano's, roll back down, and start again...... it really is astounding, and I've come to the conclusion that Icelandic people are Nuts...:p

Its a reference to a Seinfeld episode where Cramer and George's dad get into the business. That's all, nothing else, really. So I'm sorry I won't be able to get you one.

i don't really know, but one of the posters brought it up in another thread and it was the funniest thing i have ever seen on macrumors since the beginning

being a techie, most of us are not very physically active in our jobs and there is a higher percentage of fat men in the occupation than in any other field...i am convinced of that!

so when i hear man tits, i just think of most of the techies i have met in the field:p
