Is there a sound fix for 1.0.2?

I know 1.1.1 raised sound levels etc.. but is there a patch we can run on 1.0.2 to get higher sound? I absolutely hate 1.1.2... Edge is so crappy on it I want to toss it out the window!! (ok maybe not THAT bad).

Only thing keeping me at 1.1.2 is the louder call volume...
