For anyone counting the days until the Panther "release party", check out this little app.

Panther Countdown (http://pagesix.net/software/panther/index.php)

I think I'd be a little disappointed with the countdown clock unless Fedex shows up right when the clock expires!! :)

Panther should be scheduled to arrive at your doorstep the day of the 24th. I had Jaguar installed before anybody I knew online did because I ordered it via the Web instead of waiting until 10:20 PM to buy it at a retail shop.

I love the requirements: "10.2 or later". Shouldn't that be "more than 10.2, less than 10.3"?? :D

I wonder what happens when it hits zero. It'd be a disappointment if there isn't a mini fireworks display. Still, for 12 hours work developing it, it's not bad!

It could have been a widget instead... Konfabulator is awesome for that kind of thing.

I was bored and made my own version which is a complete and blatant rip off of Apple's code, images and look. :o

Why recreate the code when its freely available to you? I take no credit except for taking the 1 hour to align the images properly. And you can always customize K widgets very easily.

That and its only 50k or so in size.http://members.shaw.ca/chealion/PantherCountdown.sit
