iPod won't mount on select computer.

I have my 30gig iPod with a crapload of stuff on it that is important. I installed iCal and iSync updates, and coincidentally (?) the iPod stopped mounting on this computer, yet it still charges fine. I took it downstairs to a computer running an early Panther build and voila! it still works there. What gives?

I mean, the whole point of installing iSync would have been to use my iPod with it, but it kinda defeats the purpose when it won't let the iPod mount anymore.. Help?

Checking the System Profiler, I notice that this computer has "no firewire devices found". Does that mean something screwed up the firewire ports on this computer?
