I need a 512mb stick for my iBook.

That leads me to say that I also need an external FireWire harddrive (min:40gigs) for my iBook.

I have the very last rev of the iBook before the Macbooks.

I pay through paypal and if anyone wants to trade; I have a $50 Toys 'R Us gift card and a $50 Banana Republic giftcard.

This is the last iBook G4 then? You need DDR PC2700 RAM.

You can get the 512 from DMS (http://www.datamemorysystems.com/_apple_info/Apple_G4_iBook_1.42GHz_14_Memory_1273.asp) for $29 or $32, plus no NY tax. But I would highly recommend considering the 1 Gb module at $69. There's only one socket in the machine, best to max it out.

Especially 'coz it's gonna cost you freaking $150 at the Apple Store (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?nclm=9C8CA2E8) for the 512.

Many people like Crucial, but my one purchase with Kahlon was a good experience. Prices are a bit more competitive.

I have two 512 sticks of PC2700 333mhz that I'm trying to sell for $25 shipped for each stick. One is a viking and the other is Kingston. PM me if you're interested.

ibook G3's require pc100/133 sodimms while G4's require pc2100 sodimms(800-1.2ghz) but the 1.33ghz+ uses pc2700

i'm also looking for a 512mb stick of pc133.

oops, didn't see that part

I didn't know the max was 1.5 gigs. I thought it was 1 gig.

Well now I'm looking for one of these:

1GB 200 Pin DDR PC2700 333Mhz 128x64 CL 2.5 SODIMM

the max is 1.25gb. 256mb is stock on the mother board. and you can add a 1gb stick. my g4 is maxed and runs tiger extremely well. yours is faster and will have no problem running leopard.

it's 1.5 on the last ibooks as they came with 512. ;)
