View Full Version : MBP - VERY Slow to Awaken. What's wrong?

When I'm finished working on my MBP, I just close the screen and it goes to sleep. Sometimes, when I open it up, the screen stays black and takes a LONG time to awaken.
Does anyone know what might be wrong? Sometimes it takes up to two full minutes to get the screen up where I can enter my password to view the desktop.

This happened to me before, if you have iStat Pro installed as a Widget in Dashboard, I suggest you remove it and see what happens.
I removed iStat Pro and everything was fine... installed it again and the problem continuted.

I've noticed the same thing on my MBP. Sometimes it's excruciating waiting for it to wake back up.
The white macbook I bought for my grandmother never does this. It starts back up instantly.
