iBook G4 will not load Safari 3.0

The Apple update downloaded on December 21, 2007 has resulted in my iBook G4 not being able to load Safari. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution? Please help.

If you create a new user account in System Preferences, can you load Safari from there?

New Account Can't Access Safari Either

Tried that. Still "no go." Tried deleting all plug-ins. that didn't work either. Should I try to re-install OS X?

What operating system are you running? You may just need to reinstall the latest combo update.

Running OS X 10.4.11.

I have re-installed the update twice @ still no Safari.🙁

Afraid this happened to my ibook g4 as well, but once i re-installed osx i could it worked like a dream

PYR0M310N, I re-installed last night. Took about one hour & fifteen minutes but now everything works correctly. Too bad you can't just re-install components (Safari).

I'm glad you got it working. In future, remember that you can reinstall components of the OS using your restore disc and Pacifist. 🙂
