I'm trying to reinstall dvd studio 3 but every-time I delete the main file and try and reinstall it recognizes that it used to be on my computer and says 'upgrade'. I need to be able enter the serial number again but I'm never given this option. Are there files hidden somewhere that I'm missing?
Thanks!

Try searching for a Receipts folder in your user directory.

whenever i uninstall programs, i use AppDelete. It works well and it deletes all files/folders associated with that program.

Try searching for a Receipts folder in your user directory.
Indeed, the receipt in your user directory is causing this....all you need to do is look for it and delete it.
use spotlight and it will tell you exactly where the file is.

I've used AppDelete which is nice but I got ForkLift in the MacUpdate bundle which has an app deleter so I use that now.
That said, Spotlight does everything you need
