I have an older mac that i want to sell. its a g4 running 10.4.9. I want to first make sure all of my info is off of the computer. what is the best way to prepare a mac for resale. I have my tiger upgrade disc but cant seem to locate any other discs. is that a problem? thanks for any help you guys could give me.

depends on what your selling with the system?

id say make a clone of your current drive, erase it and install a clean copy of tiger from the OS Discs and then migrate the applications you want over.

im not really tech savvy with doing that but just a guess at what you could do?

goodluck.

Use DBAN and your drive will be as clean as the day it was assembled. Boot and Nuke is used by 2 of my financial clients and they have tested extensively and confirm with 3-pass "you can barely recover anything" and with 7-pass "its just gone"

Hope this helps!
