Looking for (simple) Mac-PC networkable games

I hope somebody can help. I am looking for simple (but entertaining) networkable Mac-PC games to try out with some friends that are on PCs. By simple I mean not the 'mega' commercial productions we all know (Quake, UT, Ghost Recon's...) but games that you can play for a few minutes to have some fun, a bit in the genre of pop-pop or ThinkTanks.

Thanks in advance for your help as it seems there is very little information on the web about playing network games compatible Mac-PC (especially re: shareware or smaller games).

Ever look at GameHouse http://www.gamehouse.com? They have various games coded in Java so that any machine running a fairly recent version of Java can play them.
