I just updated to 1.1.3, but two features that I was really looking forward to (moving icons on the home screen and making links on the home screen) are not included. Do they only appear if you buy the five new apps?
Thanks for reading. ;)

Yup, you have to shell out the twenty to get the new features...even more reasons this $20 is ridiculous.

Sadly, they should be free, but in my opinion they are worth the $20.

I was going to pay for the new apps anyway. I was just hoping that I could show off some new features to my friends tomorrow at school Oh well.
I can't wait to see the icons start shaking. :p

Then don't buy them! You obviously thought the Touch was worth $299 when you bought it without these apps.
I'm tired of all the whining.

huh...
i'm confused so why are people complaining about the extra $20 for the software update.
you can get everything in the update except
1.) the "jiggle moving icons" (which can be done through some other app i forget)
2.) putting bookmarks or something on your home screen
the rest you can just download after jailbreaking. whats the big deal?

I'm tired of all the whining. The reason for all the whining is because Apple gave their other products free improvements and made the Touch users pay for them. I wouldn't have minded paying for the apps so much if they would have only been like $10. But honestly considering how expensive the Touch was, the apps really should have been free.

Its the fact that alot of iPod users were loyal to apple not jailbreaking 'knowing' we'd have the apps eventually and then apple wants to yank $20 more out of my wallet for a few apps I could just jailbreak for? I'm kind of sad I didn't JB now..... :(
Shows what I get though..Should have just been cool and JB'ed. :p

Also, Josh, you can still jailbreak man...i think 1.1.3 can be downgraded pretty easily (you may not want to if you already purchased the apps though)
