I know there's a mac fan site that has lots of different vendors' offers (different combos of RAM or applecare etc) but I can't remember the name of it. Anybody know the name, or something like it?
I'm looking to get a bare-bones dual 2.8. I'll be running Logic with high track and plug-in counts, (at 88.2k probably).
Thanks.

DealMac (http://dealmac.com/) amalgamates the best deals from across the Web. But you might be looking for a more price comparison-type site, where you punch in, say, the model number, and you get a listing of prices from different vendors.
I'm soon to be in the market for a MacBook Pro, so if anyone knows of a price comparison site (which I think the OP is looking for too), yes, please post it here!

No, it's not dealmac, although I do enjoy that site.
I just remembered:
lowendmac.com
They have a nice roundup of prices at different vendors.
