10.5.1 Leopard- No sys prefs.

I have somehow lost the ability to open the sys prefs for this system. Just over from PC so don't know how to fix. I may have done it. I don't know. There seems to be a light gray symbol over the sys prefs on the dock and it will not open with the finder either (under the Apple ). Any ideas? I have the Leopard discs if needs be.

Not to worry about this post. I got Pacifist and all is fixed.
