After making the complete switch to the Mac, I'm looking for a CD burning software. Finder+Disk Copy+iTunes doesn't quite cut it, but Toast Titanium seems to be overkill. And it's EUR 90,-. I don't need label designers, VCD authoring etc. etc., just some app that will create, copy and create images from data and audio CDs. So what are you guys using?

I'm using iTunes, Finder & Disk Copy. And I use the Apple Backup software to burn backups.

What feature(s) do you find lacking? It may be there.

I use Toast, and I only use the data burning feature of it and ignore the rest. However, I burn quite a few disks and I feel comfy using it, and haven't had the best results burning from the finder (go figure). However, burning from iTunes is easiest for music tho, and works quite well.

Use iTunes for music CDs and Toast for everything else. If Toast is too much for you I'm sure you can find it floating around the net.

Duff-man says....I sure hope you suggesting that he look for a cheap copy of Toast 5 or something, and not suggesting that he just download a pirated copy.....oh yeah!

I'd like to create ISO images from CDs and burn them, for example. I tried creating images using Disc Copy, but it failed with an internal error ("999") on all CDs I tried.

Funny, I have had no problems with this. Are you using the irght settings? Lke select "CD/DVD Master" for the type of image you want to create?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I tried "CD/DVD Master" first, then all the others. All of them fail.
