Hey guys I need some opinions on what my MB is worth on the current market. I have a family member that says they'd like to get an MB cheap and I'd like a 2.2 so it might work out that I sell it to them and pick up a 2.2 Otherwise I have no interest in selling it, LOVE IT!
MacBook 1.83 (week 19, very early)
UPGRADED- 2 Gig ram
UPGRADED- new 80 Gig HD from a rev C MB, only 1 week old.
iLife 06
Leo
DPP
Microsoft office for Mac
ACCYS: magsafe, remote, dvi to tv cable
Outside case is not "like new", the standard scratches of use. Also the usual crack above the remote eye in most all early MB's.
Any help in pricing would be greatly appreciated! :)

I have the same model (though apple recently installed a superdrive!), so I keep an eye on their value. I'd say anywhere between $600 - $750. Mac2sell has it valued at $750.. I'd say it depends on whether or not it has applecare. I personally would pay more for ac.

Good point, the only thing I didn't upgrade was the Combo drive. No A/C.
I bought this book for $275 with a bad HD and spent $60 on a new 80g from a Rev C new book fresh out of the box..... so I have $335 in it before the ram upgrade, which I may keep. If not that's another $75 totaling $410.
The oversized HD and ram are it's major plusses.

I think you could pull a tidy $300 profit then. Ebay may be your best bet to get the most $, but remember the fees.

Na I'm not going to sell it unless it goes to the family member. I love the book, just need a super drive to keep me content for another year or so. I could still get a superdrive off ebay for $119 and stay a couple hundred in the clear.
That's what's holding me up on passing it off and putting another $500-700 with the money from this book for a 2.2. For most people any MacBook is enough provided it has the features you need like dvd burn support. I'm trying to justify the rather minor boost in processor and ram to go to the 2.2 since I do not do any graphics or gaming...... at the cost of $600ish to upgrade V/S $119 for a superdrive and be done with it.

That was the price I was waiting on. :) So throw superdrive into the list of upgrades.
Forgot to mention I have all the factory paperwork and the apple remote unused.
