As an owner of this exact iTrip model, I can say for certain that it works with all dock connecting iPods (will even charge the 3Gs) and also works great with the iPhone. The only drawback to using it with the iPhone is the occasional GSM noise, but unless you are straddling cells while driving it should not be a problem.
