Hi,
The 500GB custom option for the iMac will be good for all my Apps/music/movies/bootcamp needs (for now), however i need a fast external hard drive setup as a scratch for final cut/maya.
I thought i might get some sort of '2 drive enclosure' like this:

but i can't find any of these in the UK, even if i could, they look v. expensive, for just an enclosure.
Can anybody recommend a 2 bay FW800 (the quickest port on the iMac, may as well use it for this!) enclosure. That i can get in the UK.
Also what about getting a NAS 2 bay enclosure and connecting over ethernet? Is this a quick enough port to use as a scratch? I've seen a few NAS enclosures that look like they would work well, but can really find any reviews of using them for just one computer in the network - me!
