Hi everyone....

I'm selling my iMac G5 and I already backed up the data that was there, and I wanna do a clean reinstall so the new owner won't find anything that belonged to me. No hidden archives, or something I might have forgotten.

How do I do this? never done it before.

Thanks.

Insert the install disc and boot from it, hold down C as the computer starts follow the on screen instructions. Then look for the Customise (IIRC) button and select Erase and Install.

If you want more security then in the menubar there should be a Utilities option in there there is Disk Utility and you can erase the drive there with different levels of harshness.
