I am considering getting an iPod Touch. Not just for the coolness of it but also - and mainly - to use as a remote control/music player at home - being able to send it around my guests at parties etc. for them to select music, would be utterly cool
Anyone have experience with this? I wonder how responsive it is, how long it takes to load the library, how it works if you want to skip a track (responsiveness again) and such. I will be using it either with my Mac Pro connected via wired network and playing back using wi-fi on an Airport Express, or on my Macbook Pro, connected wirelessly to my network, also playing back on my Airport Express.
Any experience with this would be appreciated. Perhaps compared to multi-room music playback systems like Sonos and Squeezbox.
