If I buy the Leopard CD for $129, will I be able to install it on a Dell notebook? Would that work? Would I have to wipe out the harddrive and then install Leopard on it?

Lastly, would there be compatibility issues?

Nope. Won't work. But Apple's strong hardware + OS integration is part of what makes Mac's so secure and stable.

It depends how close the hardware on the Dell is to one of the exisiting Apple laptops. We're not allowed to tell you how to do it but I'm sure if you do a search on Google for "hackintosh" you'd be able to find out more.

Just remember that officially you're not allowed to install Mac OS on any non-Apple branded hardware but there are people who have done it although there are quite a few potential compatibility issues that can arise so it's at your own risk.

Just buy a MacBook - they're not that expensive, they look a hell of lot nicer and your conscience will be clear! 🙂
