Please if you wanna pay with paypal please add the paypal fee in, it just costs way too much to not ask for it.

Please excuse a relative mac newbie here, but would these handle kids games online? i.e. Webkinz, barbie.com, etc...? If so, how do you connect? A cabled connection isn't an option in my house, can I find a relatively inexpensive way to get them online?

You can review specs here:

These can take an Airport card although they are kind of rare and the prices inflated. A wireless router is cheap.

Hi. Thought I'd chime in. I owned an iBook Clamshell for many years that I recently sold. Although extremely durable machines, and when using OS X with the maximum amount of ram (34 or 64 + 512) are perfect for basic internet and IM usage... these machines, even the 466 Mhz models will NOT smoothly play YouTube videos and most flash videos. These two things are too much for the processor. I had the 466 Mhz version and could not do these things so expect similar or possibly a tad worse from the 300 Mhz version. I'd also recommend budgeting for OS X, an upgraded HD, and RAM. These 300 Mhz machines look to have the stock 3 GB HD. Not only are these slow (4200 RPM), many are noisy from years of use. Just a few things to think about. I do believe the Clamshells are excellent machines. If I didn't have the need to play a few games, there is no doubt in my mind I wouldn't have upgraded. The attention you get with a Clamshell is amazing!

I have always stuck up for the clamshells, and i believe in my mind they are excellent machines. will they play halo and some of the newer games no, will they access the internet and word processing? Yes. from my experience with people most of us use the computer for those basic things. and this should be able to do webkinz, i haven't tried it myself but i don't see why not.

Totally, they're stellar machines. I ran the entire office suite without any issues. If you're buying this machine for non-legacy games, you'll have an issue. I did run The Sims and Warcraft 2 on my Clamshell. I'm not entirely sure what type of game WebKinz is.. all I know is if a potential buyer is expecting to play YouTube or do anything with flash-based games/animations online, they'll be very disappointed. I wouldn't have owned my Clamshell for so long if I didn't think they were a stellar machine!

very true, if you want something that you can use some hard core programs then this isn't for ya, but if you are using it for a kid then it should be fine. I'll sign online tonight and try to get to webkinz website and report back.

Not to rain on the parade but Webkinz and club Penguin is a no go because of the screen resolution (800X600) of the clamshell, the browser will crop some of the nav on those sites.
On the upside though I am running Tiger on our blueberry with max ram and airport and it is still a great little machine and at this price is an excellent value!
