how 2 put itunes on external harddrive?

i'll only be keeping my current laptop until the mbp's are revised, so i dont wanna loose all my labeling and stuff. can i just put my itunes on an external and access them from multiple laptops? tia.

Yep. Literally drag your library to the external drive and then hold OPTION next time you open iTunes to be able to choose this new location. 🙂

You can also select new location for iTunes library and then select consolidate library from menu bar.

This way works very well. I just did this to transfer my music from my MBP to a WD portable drive.
