Hi...
I just ordered my new mac (Black MB, 4gb ram), and I am also considering taking the plunge into Logic pro. I will be retaining my Saffire LE for input. Does anyone out there use logic on a MacBook, and if so, how is the performance? I only ask because I currently use garage band right now on my iMac G5 and I somewhat regularly overload it with plug-ins and tracks...
So before I spend $500, does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks.

I'm running Logic Studio 8 just fine on MBP (see sig) which will have a slightly faster processor than your BlackBook, but less RAM. Apart from that, the specs will be pretty similar as far as Logic is concerned.

You will get overloads from time to time - but everyone always will. Use the freeze buttons, and use an extrernal FW400 drive as a scratch disk, and you'll be fine.
