Backing up?

Couldn't find anything directly related to this , at least in recent history.

So I am somewhat new to the Mac. I keep all of my photos on my hard drive, but I would also like to back them up to an external hard drive. How do I schedule an automatic archive of my photos (or any specific folder) every couple of weeks?

There are many backup solutions you can look at.

1) If you are running OSX 10.5 Leopard you can utilize Time Machine. Feel free to review our Time Machine FAQ here on MacRumors as well to answer any questions you cannot resolve from Apple's site.

2) SuperDuper is an excellent backup utility, highly recommend it.

3) An alternative to SuperDuper is Carbon Copy Cloner.
