skubish macrumors 68030 Jan 20, 2008 #2 Yes you can go back. You would have to trash the new iTunes and have and old copy of 7.0. Note that you have to have OSX 10.3.9 to use iTunes 7.6. What iBook do you have? I have a 1.33GHz G4 and 7.6 runs fine on mine.

yetanotherdave macrumors 68000 Jan 20, 2008 #3 make sure you keep a copy of the library too, if you go to versioin 7.6 it will rebuild the library to be 7.6 compatable, if you then go back to 7.02 you wont be able to access the library.
