How much free space for songs/videos etc?

Out of the box, how much actual free space is there on the 8 and 16 gb touch for you to upload music/videos/calendars etc. (I'm assuming it's less than 8/16)

I'm not sure about the 16gig, but my 8 gig had 7.2 gigs of memory left

Its 7.2 on the 8 GB so I would guess 15.2 GB on the 16
