Word suggestions: Turn it off

Hi.

I wonder why it isn't (at least I can't seem to find it) possible to turn off the word suggestions (you know, the ones that come up below a word you enter, and you have to push it to ignore it)? I often get really stupid and annoying suggestions and it is annoying having to push the suggestion to get rid of it. Shouldn't it work the other way: Push the suggestion to ACCEPT it?! This seems like a very bad implementation of the feature to me. I just wish I could turn it off.. is it impossible?

There is an app floating around called Kb2, which allows you to turn this function on/off, but it is only for 1.1.1

No, I am running 1.1.3 and I'd rather not jailbreak or anything. Unbelievable that this feature isn't optional:/

Oh, not being jailbreak drastically limits options. Seems like you should email Apple.
