View Full Version : can i use my imac intel white 2006 model internal screen?

Hi, i dont know if this is in the right area of the forums if it isnt please movie it.

anyway's, i was just wonder could i use the internal screen from an old imac intel 06 model? I've taken it apart and ive gotten the screen out and it has got 5 cables. 1 cable was connecting to the mini dvi port through the mother board and the other 4 connected to something else i dont know what it was, it was to the left of the hard drive. what will i need to make it usable as a external monitor.

LVDS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_voltage_differential_signaling) is the internal video connector the iMacs.

ok and what would i need to hook this up to a computer? ive got the power supply handeled just need to know what do i need to get the signal to the computer
