I just got this Imac a few months ago, actually got it the day Leopard was released. I have had the Leopard upgrade DVD and finally decided to upgrade tonight. I pop it in and it restarts then when it comes back up with the Leopard background, says I need Mac OS X 10.4 or later to upgrade. Then it searches and says it cannot find version 10.4 so it cant upgrade.

When I click "About this Mac", I am running version 10.4.11 So any ideas why I cant upgrade?

Do not upgrade to Leopard from Tiger; choose "Archive and Install" or "Erase and Install".
There are documented problems with the Leopard upgrade installer; don't even bother trying to do it.

Back up your important files.
Insert the Leopard DVD.
Restart the computer, and hold down the "c" key until the computer boots from the DVD.
Select the Options button in the installer and choose Archive and Install.
Run Software update when the Leopard installation is complete.
