iPod touch will the febuary sdk void buying the jan update?

am i right in thinking that when the sdk is released we can load all the new apps on free of charge, iv just got off the phone to apple to see if i can blag the update free as i bought my touch today but no joy.
good thing i only paid £212 for it lol, i love ebay powersellers

I doubt that very much, would imagine digitally signed for security and also copyright anyway.

but they have iphone apps working on ipod touch so isnt that the same thing?

I can't wait for my software to stop kablooeying! It's so annoying when I'm surfing safari and listening to music and then --KABLOOEY

It is unsure what applications can be made with the SDK, and how they will be available/distributed. Don't expect full freedom from Apple.

I would bet the SDK will require the $20 update to even work! Wouldn't that be just like Apple? 😛

Have you been living under a rock or something? The iPhone apps have been legally available for the Touch for well over a week now, you purchase them through the iTunes Store.
