First Gen iPod Nano 2GB (White), got it over 4 years ago I think... I keep it for sentimental reasons
Second Gen iTouch 16GB, soon hopefully third gen 16/32/64GB :P
I don't even use the 16GB on my 2nd gen:P
Edit: (Unless there's movies on it)

If you desperately need easy iPod instructions, you're not alone. The iPods don't come with printed instruction manuals, so how do you know what to do with them? My first iPod shuffle came with a small folder that explained I should download iTunes and plug in the iPod...but where? To what? And what should I do after that? I was completely lost.
When you are ready to use your iPod for the first time, have these instructions handy.
First, before you worry about the iPod itself, begin by installing iTunes. You can do a simple search for iTunes on your computer and it will be the first thing that pops up. Download the program - it's free - and go through any set up instructions.
Then you can begin adding your music to the iTunes program. You can do this by putting CDs in your drive and downloading the songs, or you can go to the iTunes store and purchase your favorite music. You can also download the songs already on your computer. iTunes often does this automatically on startup, and depending on how many songs you have on your computer, this could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.http://www.**************/img/4633/n09x0302vnsn/clear.gif

But to make up for that, I do have an iPhone 3GS, a MBP, and have owned quite a few Macs and Apple IIs over the years.

None.
I've some songs on my iPhone, which I hardly listen to.
I'm a music lover, I prefer to listen radio, news, comments and discussion. If there is music in between, OK, but not pure music.
I think i didn't buy 50 Cd in my whole life...

TWO
iPods over here.
My first was a "refurbished" Gen 1 Shuffle bought just as the Gen 2 came out.
It's still OK and plays music in my bedroom sometimes.
My second is a "refurbished" Gen 3 Nano bought just as the Gen 4 came out.
This is still really great after quite a lot of near daily use and quite a few Solitare matches.... (up to $23,000 in winnings right now)
It plays video, holds gobs of songs, the battery still does OK.... I'd buy another if I had to.
LOL.... I've got dozens and dozens of CDs... mostly 80's and 90's
Have Fun,
Keri

lets see,
i bought an old 2nd gen classic, and tried to paint it (a retarded decision) and ended up kinda breaking the clickwheel, so now I dont use that. I got a broken iPod nano from prizerebel off of ebay, I had an ipod touch 1st gen which got a deadstrip, so i sent it in to get a new one, and then eventually sold that for $160, and now i have a dell mini 10v with Mac OS X on it. It was cheaper than an ipod, and has [160/8] = 20x the space

I have a 3 ipod. An Ipod shuffle, Ipod video 160gb and Ipod touch (the latest one). I don't know what generation is my Ipod touch but it has the built in speaker and the back is curved, Not flat like the old Ipod touch. Anyway, Ipod shuffle is my first Ipod. I bought it 4 years ago. The Ipod video and Ipod touch is just recent. I bought Ipod video because of the amazing 160gb memory. I don't put any music in my Ipod video, just movies and videos. While my Ipod touch is the one that I usually use and bring.

At the beginning of this year, I still had my first iPod, a 60GB 4th Gen, then I picked up a 16GB Touch, loved it, was given a 2G iPhone (which didn't work), which I subsequently replaced with a 3G (8GB).
So, technically, I'm on my 4th.

For me, it's been: 20gb iPod 3G, 80gb iPod 5G (enhanced), iPod Shuffle 2G (green), iPod Shuffle 2G (orange), and 160gb iPod Classic. Still have every single one of them, and they're all fully functional!
I don't think one qualifies as an iPod "junkie" until you accumulate 6 or more... :D

I'm still using an iPod Mini. Where do people get the funds to buy a new iPod every year?
I'm wonder more about where people get the money to buy a new Mac every year. iPods are easy to cover the cost of.
Anyway, 1st gen iPod Nano Black 2GB, 5.5G iPod Video 30GB Black, 16GB 1st gen iPod touch.
Sold the nano, got the Video. Bought the touch, sold it for iPhone 3G. So the video is the only iPod I now have. Love it, works great. So I've owned 3, but only 1 right now.

The 30gb 5th Gen is all music, so syncing to it isn't too much of a problem. Same with both the shuffles. Just music that I listen to often.
The nano 16gb and the iPhone are the ones that mostly have the same content (podcasts and current TV shows), so syncing them is a small challenge, since I listen to both of those each day.

If iPhones count as an iPod, . . .
2GB iPod Nano
4GB iPod Shuffle
160GB iPod Classic
8GB iPod touch
8GB iPhone
White 16GB iPhone 3G
White 32GB iPhone 3GS
That'll either be 7 iPods or 4 iPods and 3 iPhones.

I've had 3 iPods.
- An ancient 8GB iPod. It was white and chunky. Monochrome display.
- iPod Video. Skipped the photo one and got this when it came out. 30GB I think, and it was black. Nice colour screen.
- New iPod Nano 5G. Got it as my iPhone (which is my real iPod these days) is a bit heavy when running. I'm trying to keep fit so got a little 8GB Nano with video camera. My iPhone is the 3G so no video on it, so handy to have a little camera on one of them. Although now I've got the Kodak Zi8 too.
So 3 iPods, 4 macs, 1 iPhone.

Just one. 2nd Generation, and it's my wife's. I've got a blackberry and I use that. I guess if I was a big iTunes user, it'd be different, but I prefer my audio LAME MP3 VBR encoded and without DRM.

Sold both my iPod Nano 2G and iPod Touch 2G. iPhone now.

Three. I started with an iPod nano, then got the iPod nano that had video. Then I got an iPod Touch, so I sold the two nanos. Now I got an iPhone, so I just gave my iPod Touch to my father so he can get rid of his ancient Palm Pilot.

Would the iPad count as an iPod? I mean I think technically the iPhone isn't an iPod either.
