I'm looking for something that will indicate the CPU's current speed setting. Anyone have any ideas?

You can tell the usage with iStat Pro.. that about all I would know.

You can use OS X's activity monitor in the utilities folder,
just click Window->CPU Usage

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm looking for the current speed of the processor, not its utilization. Mobile processors underclock when running on battery to save juice and I want to make sure my 2.2ghz isn't running at 1.6ghz or something ridiculous when on AC power.

That program does not work on OS X 10.5.

You can use a trial version of Coolbook to indicate the clock and voltage...

Installing CoolBook on a Macbook Air after the Air Update for controlling your CPU speed messes the machine up. I was having horrible freezing issues until I was able to a) remove the CoolBookSwitcher service and b) manually reinstall the Air update.
So, this is not a good solution.
Where is the Increw framework?
Is there a way to peek at the memory registers that contain the current CPU speed with Applescript?
As a long time PC abuser, I am flumoxed at the lack of any utility to show the CPU speed. Why are there so many great tools (like iStat) that have everything you need to know... EXCEPT the CPU speed?
This question should have been answered long ago. I'll do the damned thing myself if I have to, just to know what my Air is "REALLY" running at.
So, let's hear it from some technically knowledgeable people on here...

I use MSR Tools
Works wonders to see CPU usage.
