My keyboard's not really dirty, but it has funky smells coming off it. I want to give it a cleaning to get rid of the smell. I tried water, didn't help. Any ideas?

Funky smell? I wouldn't admit that. Anyhow, try iKlear like everyone mentioned in some past forums.

Isn't iKlear for screens though?

funky smell? did you spunk in it? :p j/k

try turning off your computer and use a damp cloth to clean the keys.

Did you spill something on it or are you just not liking that "new keyboard smell?"

If you spilled something on it that is now reeking, then you should take off the keys and clean them individually and use a mild cleaner on a damp cloth to clean the underlying silicone button mechanism.

Getting rid of the "new keyboard" smell will take time for the plastic to out-gas, but in the meantime you could lay a dryer sheet on top of the keyboard overnight (don't close your laptop) It could work

Safe on screens, safe on everything else is what I guess.
