S.M.A.R.T. failing

I know that s.m.a.r.t. failing means that my hard drive is bad and its gonna crash, but i need to know how to back up the files to an external hard drive before i lose my files.

Or superduper. CCC never worked well for me.

Regardless of which you choose. Get it done ASAP.

Even before I did a full clone with CCC or SuperDuper!, I'd take off the most critical files as quickly as possible. If you only had a certain amount of time I'd hate for it to be wasted backing up iDVD themes or Garageband Loops that you can easily get again.
