Hey, everyone I have not followed computer hardware, terms and what not for quite a while and was wondering if anyone could tell me specifically about raid, as well as sas/sata. All I know is that it is referring to hd's 😕
Standard and informative articles I pulled off the interweb using Google. Is there anything else that you'd like to know? RAID is a method of providing disk performance/redundancy and SAS/SATA are disk connectivity busses.
so raid basically in a sense it basically just copies/mirrors all of your data to multiple to drives for backup, and a faster and more reliable read of data?
I plan on getting an external drive and was looking into getting a g-tech 500gb drive any suggestions or comments?
