Hey, quick question.
I'm wondering what actual hard drive it is that ships with the Mac Pro.
Is it the Seagate 7200.11?

Apple use a few different drives for the Mac Pros. It just depends which they stick in. I believe they use WD, Seagate and someone else.

How do I find out what type of drive I have?

Well...two ways.

1. Turn off your computer, open up the side, and pull bay 1 and read the label.

2. Open up System Profiler, go to SATA, and read the model number. Plug that number into google (if it doesn't include the brand) and see what brand it turns up.
