Laptop Battery

My friend recently bought a Sony laptop, but its battery life is only 2.5 hours. Is there any way to get a better battery, or is she stuck with the 2.5 hour battery life?

With Sony you are usually stuck with Sony batteries. They might* offer a slightly higher capacity version. Otherwise, there are some external battery options for most laptops from either the manufacturer(Sony) or from a 3rd party.

She can also try power saving measures such as reducing the brightness of her display and turning off unnecessary sounds in addition to any power saving features in her OS.

Go on ebay and do a search for the laptop's model number. You'll find equivalent 3rd party batteries w/ higher capacity and cheaper price.

I think she's probably going to keep the battery as it is now, but if the need for long battery life comes up, then she'll get an exernal battery.
