hey,
i currently use as my main machine a G4 tower (don't ask me why when we have 2 intel imacs in the house), and was considering giving it an upgrade since i won't be getting a mac pro till a 1 1/2 years time, i was considering getting it a flashed Nvidia GeForce 6200 256Mb + upping the RAM to 1.2 GB would i see much performance boost in games such as WoW over the Radeon 9000 and 768 MB of RAM ?,
other bits about the card
Memory Clock
550MHz DDR2
GPU Clock
350Mhz

My guess would be yes. But it would probably run much better on one of those Intel Macs. :p

nvidia 6200 is a better card than the radeon 9000, but it is still a budget low-end card from a few generations ago

you would see performance gains, but it will still be slow by today's standards

Haha, no kidding i do play on the imacs it's just they're spread out around the house and the powermac is in my room, and I've got a comfy leather chair where as the imacs i have to sit on stools, i also notice a big difference in the spell level detail on the imacs compared to mine, could i expect to see an improvement in these areas as well as FPS

True, but it is still a much better card than the radeon 9000, it does support core image and i would guess core animation, i get on average 15-20 FPS on the radeon on medium settings, with the screen glow and other advanced features turned off. also it's either a card similar to this or for triple the price a radeon 9800 128 MB mac version, but that just doesn't seem worth it considering i'm just buying more time for this machine until i can get the mac pro
