ok so i think i messed up some part of the instructions...once i downloaded the soft upgrade in installer, it told me to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until it turned on...I did this thinking, "wont this put it into restore mode" and sure enough, it did...could someone please clarify this step for me as i obviously didnt understand it correctly

You MIGHT HAVE held the button for too long.

I tried this one and it worked great. Too bad I can't seem to connect to mail.app. It says I didn't enter a password.

EDIT: Fixed it.

In installer, add the following new Source repository:

http://sleepers.net/iphonerepo

Then, install "113 Mail Fix".

My iPod's language was spanish untill I jailbroke 1.1.3 with iJailbreak. It worked everything fine but now I can't put it back to spanish. If I choose English, the UI shows in english but if I get back to spanish it still shows in english. If I change to german, all the menus go german but if I change back to spanish, it keeps german. Kind of weird...
Do anyone know how to solve this?

You need to go from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 to 1.1.3

You need to go from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 to 1.1.3

Yeah I know. I was never successful going from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 the first time around, so I'm just going to deal with it. It's just two videos anyway.

WHat you have to do is connect ur ipod, download the "soft update for 1.1.3" when it asks you and let it do its thing. you dont have to touch it or anything...just let it run. thats about it

My DRM'ed music does not work now... (worked at first) going to go ahead and go to 1.1.1 > 1.1.2 > 1.1.3...


Also, WE HAVE THE PHONE APP! ??? If you go into your music, then double tap the home button, the iPhone phone app will come up... you can dial but you cant actually call... just a cool easter egg :).

Edit: This Fix Worked.
