Adding music to a video

well, I've got my video and my song picked out, but for some reason it won't let me drag the itunes file onto my project. I can just drag it above and it just turns into a music icon with dots above & below it.

can anyone tell me how to get this into my project?

If you look at your itunes file icon you may see a little lock in one of the corners. This is copywrite protection software in action.

It should work for songs that you imported from an audio CD. Files purchased from the iTunes store are protected, as Bogeyman wrote, and cannot be directly used in a number of editing software packages.

Please note that not everything that the software lets you do ends up being legal - but I am sure you already knew that.
