Question, I had a ubuntu server that recently died and I have some data on one of the drives I need to get. I have a usb to IDE adapter but osx isnt reading my drive. Never tried to mount a drive this way directly to the computer but I guess OSX doesnt let you mount this type of file system. I looked into EXTFSManager but I guess this doesnt work with intel based macs. Any ideas?

From what I understand (and I might be completely wrong), OS X can only read EXT3.

Google has at least 3 sites with software that claims to do what you want. Which (if any) work on Intel Macs, I don't know.

ext3 is a journaled version of ext2. For read purposes, there should be no difference.

Just Mac OS X ext2.

Besides the project on sourceforge that I guess doesn't support Intel Macs, there was
link (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18619). I think all the other links were copies of one or another of these.
