how do i get a dmg file onto a dvd and have it behave the same?

i tried i dmg to iso conversion file program, but when i open the iso all i get is the original dmg file, like its only compressing it instead of having it be mounted on the disc... is there another program i don't know about maybe that would help me burn this dmg to disc?
 
I'm not sure I completely understand what you've written, but you can burn DMGs to disc using the Disk Utility Application. Works perfectly for me every time, including dual layer burns.
