Does this thing have a usb port that works with a usb hard drive?

It does have a usb port. I've only used the usb port with a printer, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with an HD.

i know theres one model that usb was just for printers. any way you can test?

I just checked on Apple's discussion pages and it seems that the USB hard drive feature is only available on the 802.11n models. There may be a work around, but none that I know of.
