I performed the 1.1.3 Jailbreak from a 1.1.2 broken iPhone on a XP PC. Of course the hard way rather than the new Break in Installer App.

When completed all seemed normal. Upon connecting to the Installer all the Apps I had were listed in Un-install but of course not active. In order to get the apps back .... I discovered that I needed to un-install them....so I could re-install them.

Away I went...un-installing one at a time. When I got to Extended Preferences....it had a script error. I could not un-install.

Upon returning to the home screen. I watched as my SETTINGS ICON disappeared and another Icon took its place.

Anyone know how to fix?

I wrote an email to Will the developer to ask him to make a fix.

Anyone else with this problem? Or know an answer?

Chris

try creating a new contact and in the url portion, enter "prefs:" but without the quotations. save that, then save the contact. choose that contact, and then click on the url and it will open up the settings page.

I know this doesn't replace the icon for you, but it will work as a temp solution until someone else with more knowledge can help you restore the actual icon. This will at least allow you to access your settings.

Thanks for the Idea. This did not work for me. Guess unless someone creates a fix I will have to restore and try again.
