I am eagerly awaiting my Mac Pro with Aperture preinstalled. I have fiddled around with Aperture a bit via the free month long trial, but I can't say that I have any real idea how to use it. I have essentially no PhotoShop experience either.

What's the best way to "learn" Aperture? I know there are a few online posts which I have been reviewing, but I would really like to find a good how-to book.

Any suggestions?

I used this MacPro Video (http://www.macprovideo.com/browse/aperture) and found it very good, not only do they tell you how to do something, but you get to see it too.

If you're gonna learn from a book go with the Apple Pro Training Series.

Aperture 1.5 by Orlando Luna and Ben Long (isbn 0-321-49662-0)

The book contains a DVD that includes learning projects that you can use in Aperture. Get through the book and it'll prepare you to take the level one Apple Pro certification test.
