How do I get the app bundle?

I bought my iPod Touch on Jan 26th. I've tried to purchase it from the itunes store and I keep going in circles.

Can I get it for free, and If so how / where do I go? I'm on 1.1.3 with no jailbreak.

Please help.

The apps should already be on the version 1.1.3 OS. If you don't have them, Return the Touch to where you bought it and get a replacement. If you got it from an Apple Store there should be no problem. If you got it from an Authorized Retailer they may give you some grief but their agreement with Apple requires them to honor returns, at least those made within 14 days. Most places will give you 30 days for an adjustment.
