WD Passport Portable vs. WD My Passport Essential

Anybody know the difference between these? Per the WD website, they look the same to me per the writeups. I am sure I am missing something other than 1 comes in colors. Thanks.

As best as I can tell, the "Essential" is newer but has the same specs. It's available for "pre-order" while the others are available now. It's probably just marketing. I'd find the one that costs less and buy that one.

it looks as though the essential comes with a USB 3.0 cable in lieu of a USB 2.0, which is supposed to be must faster, yet still compatible with a 2.0 port. It also comes with larger hard drive sizes... 1TB, which is pretty sweet because those passports are already pretty streamline in size.
