Menu bar mini-apps?

ive seen pictures posted of menu bars with different 'mini-apps' placed in them, such as itunes, and various different things
anyone know where i can get these from?
 
well a lot of them are apps themselves that add an icon to the bar.
depends on what you're looking for

for example i have CoverSutra, Adium X, Quicksilver almost always up in my menubar, but there are tons more
 
i have last.fm showing up
i was just wondering if there was a sort of collection of useful things to add to the menu bar?
