Scrambled PDF's in 10.5

since upgrading to 10.5 on my MB, PDF's are coming though scrambled when attached to emails.
could it be something to do with entourage?

i initially solved the problem by installing OS updates but am having issues again.

I have looked for threads with this issue but not found any. please point me to 1 if you can.
